Bubba's Press Obit

COOPER, ANSON RICCI "BUBBA" 59 - of Atlantic City passed from this life on Saturday, January 12, 2013. "Bubba" was an accomplished musician, having played in several local bands, including "The Shakes" and "The Pedestrians". He was the drummer with the band "Keith" on their hit song "Hey 98.6". He will be fondly remembered by those who knew him from his work at Maloney's Tavern and Maynard's Cafe in Margate, and Kelly's Corner Pub in Atlantic City. "Bubba" was a member of the International Union of Painters and Tapers, having worked as a decorator at various convention venues locally. He was quick with a smile, and renowned for his unique fashion statements. 

"Bubba" is survived by his Mother, Sylvia J. Cooper; Sister, Michele Guimond; Aunts Doris Grant and Beulah (Aunt Sissy) James, Uncles John James and Reggie Taylor; and Cousins Sharon Grant, Jason Bland, Dawn Greene, Darlene Mabry, Benny Howard and Gregory Mabry. He will be sorely missed by his friends and family , especially by his extended family at Kelly's Corner Pub; Tim Kelly, Cathy Kelly, Max and Claire Kelly, and his special friends; Sonny Smith, Mike McGuire and Frank D'Alonzo. A Memorial Service for "Bubba" Cooper will be offered at 12:30PM Saturday, February 2, 2013, at the Gormley Funeral Home LLC 2706 Atlantic Avenue, AC. Visitation will begin at 11:00am

Family, friends, musical associates and extended family are invited to Celebrate "Bubba's" Life at Kelly's Corner Pub, 2721 Arctic Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ, immediately following the Memorial Service.
